Support for terminally ill clients and their families: comfort care, pain-management assistance under nursing direction, emotional presence and bereavement-sensitive communication.

Day-to-day duties
- —Comfort positioning, pressure-area care and mouth care
- —Pain and symptom observation reported to the clinical lead
- —Emotional presence for client and family members
- —Respecting religious, cultural and end-of-life wishes
- —Coordination with hospice and district nursing teams
Pre-departure training
- —Symptom recognition and comfort protocols
- —Grief, bereavement and family communication
- —Self-care and structured debriefing for caregivers
